University of Aberdeen. May-July 2005. Short research stay at the University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland.

University of Florida. March/April 2004. Invited research stay at the Computational Neuroengineering Laboratory (CNEL) at the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL. A continuation of a very fruitful collaboration with Distinguished Professor Jose C. Principe and his co-workers.

University of Florida. 09/2002-08/2003. Spent a full academic year at CNEL, where I started working on information theoretic learning and clustering.

University of Strathclyde. 01/1999-06/1999. Exchange student in Glasgow, Scotland, taking some undergraduate courses. These courses included basic signal processing, control theory, opto-electronics, computer vision and analog communications.
